Please be informed that the Bar Council will be organizing a workshop on the filing of Sijil Annual/Practising Certificates on the 15th of October 2010 (Friday) from 2.00pm to 5.30pm at the Perak Bar premises. The itinerary for the said workshop will be as follows:
2.00 - 2.30 Registration
2.30 - 3.15 Overview of Sijil Annual/Practising Certificate Forms and Common Mistakes
3.15 - 3.40 Accountant's Report
3.40 - 4.00 Break
4.00 - 4.15 Question & Answer Session
4.15 - 5.30 SA Practice Session
The purpose of this workshop is to assist members and provide an easy-to-understand guide on how to complete the Sijil Annual (SA) and Practising Certificate (PC) forms. Every year the Membership Department at the Bar Council faces the task of checking thousands of Sijil Anual applications and note that there are common errors in the forms that are received. As a well-prepared application will expedite the processing time and subsequent issuance of the Sijil Annual/Practising Certificates it is hoped that this workshop will prove beneficial for members.
Please note that the Workshop is not only for lawyers and pupils and legal firms are strongly encouraged to send their managers, office administrators or clerks responsible for preparing these SA/PC applications.
