I'm sure most if not all of you are following the unfolding drama in Perak closely with concern, trepidation, anger and dismay. The breadth of Barisan's quest for power terrifies me. There is no attempt to pull the wool over our eyes by the concoction of some tenuous and ridiculous event which purportedly points at the failure of the Pakatan government in Perak. Some would say that in the past they would at least have tried to hide the truth of their actions but here and now we are faced with a situation whereby a state government democratically elected by the people is being forced out by morally reprehensible means.
The decision of the Sultan, has disappointed many in Perak and left many wondering at the futility of it all. Are we the people going to sit back and take whatever is slung at us? If we do nothing then we deserve whatever darts of ignominy thrown our way.
"..all power is a trust - that we are accountable for its exercise - that, from the people, and for the people, all springs, all must exist." BENJAMIN DISRAELI
Until those who desire to lead us understand and accept the above, i fear greatly for our future.
What do you the Perak Bar think?
